Never Too Far Away
04:00
|
|||
Far away from all those city lights
I always thought it would be some green paradise
But something is gone, some part is not right
No matter where I go I can't seem to find what I'm looking for
Is it beyond my front door, with the future in my sights but my home on my mind
I wonder if I can find it
Can I go back to there, there from where I came
That place by the trees, where you can feel the ocean breeze
For a lost soul like me, to change my darkness to day, it's never too far away
Well the years pass on by, we put on our suits and ties
And march right along, living through our telephones
But we all still have a past, a piece of mind in a cast
That we cut off someday, but we'll hold on to yesterday
Can I go back to there, there from where I came
That place by the trees, where you can feel the ocean breeze
For a lost soul like me, to change my darkness to day, it's never too far away
You say these days are the worst and
Clouds follow you like a curse
But you know that the worst can be cured without a purse,
Just think back to all you have learned
Like the days when you knew you loved your mom and dad too,
Or the friends you found when you were down
We've all got a place, a distant past that will last till the end of our days
Helping to light our way
Can I go back to there, there from where I came
That place by the trees, where you can feel the ocean breeze
For a lost soul like me, to change my darkness to day, it's never too far away

Belong
03:08
|
|||
Call it the best we've ever had
Tell em I'm the best you've ever known
Call it the latest greatest fad
Say you're mine all for my own
Like peas and carrots mix
This world's just like a fix
But without all the fun
Anyone with common sense like me
Anyone that's got a life would see what I see
Anyone with false pretense would say we got it made
But we long
To just belong
Don't try to look so sad
I know deep inside you're glad
That it's time to be movin' on
If there's hope for us somehow
It's knowing we're allowed
To wonder why we're here
Anyone with common sense like me
Anyone that's got a life would see what I see
Anyone with false pretense like me just believes
That we long
Anyone with common sense like me
Anyone that's got a life would see what I see
Anyone with false pretense like me just believes
That we long
But we belong

You Know What It Is
03:56
|
|||
As the days go by
You wonder when you'll find it
Caught up all around it
Caught in the stream and now
You know what it is
When every moments to die
And the days become bliss
When all your life
Channels to this
When a friend brings you flowers
And you are surprised
You don't care about the cheesiness
Just the look in her eyes and now
You know what it is
When every moments to die
And the days become bliss
When all your life
Channels to this

Front Door
04:05
|
|||
It's hard enough to piece together my own mind
If we dig deep enough we will usually find
What made us blind, what made us mind what other people think of us
Hard to believe but I think we've all been hit by the bus
With times like these I know there's, not much to see
But we, can make it worth our while if we just make believe
That we see, the world coming up for more, count the score
And know that, there's so much more out your front door
They say home is where my heart is, where my mind lives
And just for starters I should check myself back in
But when I'm all alone it just seems like there's no one left to phone
Or to let me see their smile
With times like these I know there's, not much to see
But we, can make it worth our while if we just make believe
That we see, the world coming up for more, count the score
And know there's, so much more out your front door
If you view the war well
You'll find that you will not
Be the one who knows what you got
And when I'm all alone I
Can't seem to find my ambient mind
But I know
With times like these I know there's, not much to see
But we, can make it worth our while if we just make believe
That we see, the world coming up for more, count the score
And know there's, so much more out your front door

Love & Everything Else
03:38
|
|||
There's Love, then there's everything else
For a man like me what other way is there
To show you, what it means, to be
Cause there's you, and then there's nothing else to do
But to make you see that our lives
Ain't gonna be, the way, they used to be
Cause I, I've taken a long and winding road
Just to make it, to where I'd always hoped this life
Would take me, Not break me, in Love
But for me, there's only one thing I need,
And that's for you, to keep hanging on with me,
and to show me, what it means, to be
